USN PRACTICE SWORDS circa 1860U. S. Navy Practice Swords from 1860. The 36" long blades are wood, which is springy like hickory. The hand guards have the nicks and dents you might expect from something of this vintage, probably caused by sailors practicing their sword fighting techniques against each other. Sold only as a pair.
