RECTANGULAR "LINER" PORTS
Rectangular brass porthole, which opens to the
outside and dogs down The ports have been detailed, polished and lacquered, inside and out. The polishing bill for each and every one of these units was huge, hence $975.00 tag. When you order one, you will appreciate the work done on it! Mostly used vertical thru walls. Horizontally great for coffee table tops, etc. From passenger liner of the 1930's. The unit itself measures: 25 1/4" O.D in height x 14 3/4" O.D width, Inside: 13" I.D x 19 1/2" I.D height. They weigh 75 pounds each. |

Back flange with 1/2" lip in back of the unit goes thru the hole you cut, while the other side (outside) is fitted with the flange. Holes in porthole and flange line up. ROUND PORTHOLE TABLEThese tables are made out of large salvaged brass portholes. The vintage portholes are either 4-dog, 3-dog, or 2-dog. Looks and sizes vary depending on available stock. The portholes are stripped of their many layers of marine paint, then polished. To make the tables, we add 4 stout brass adjustable legs with brass cross bars. These are very appealing pieces of nautical memorabilia that also serve a purpose. Use one as an end table beside your favorite chair. It will not wear out! Makes a great gift for anyone with an interest in the nautical, and a wonderful presentation award for Navy or Coast Guard personnel. |
