Vintage brass ship's red "Not Under Command" Light - electrified with chain and switch - original oil burning font/lensGreat vintage brass ship's red "Not Under Command" light - ready to hang in your nautical room/office/restaurant. We sell lots of nautical lights and this "Not under Command" light is very unique. Created to hang from the ship's mast with the red light on to denote the captain was not aboard. It has 2 brass bales, 1 for hanging and 1 on the bottom to attach ropes to prevent the light from smashing itself against the mast as the ship moves at anchor. I have always been very pleased to find one of these very well made lights . If you do not like the inside red lens, it's easily removed, making it an Anchor Light with a clear Fresnel lens. The light is original and outfitted with a large oil reservoir/font with wick and heat treated lens. The whole unit comes out easily and can be used on outside picnic or BBQ table as a great mood setter. Use the red lens on the font for extra effects. Now you have 2 items from one item.

round lid. Each 8 1/2" lid with
rubber O-ring is hinged and secures down
to waterproof with 2 screw-down dogs.
Presently, each light has a black rubber
electric cord with a light socket inside
ready to light up. Weight each
light-19 pounds. Outside Fresnel
lenses in great condition, as are the
inside Red and Green lenses. You
can remove the lenses which would then
emit clear light. The top of each
light has a porthole lid on it, which is
there for easy changing of the light

CIVIL WAR ERA ANCHOR LAMPSpectacular American Civil War era anchor lamp. This got to be one very rare light. This civil war era period ship's lamp features a rare, vertically ribbed lens. Lens has a crack all the way around the top part, as shown, which really does not detract from its appearance. The light, which was oil burning in its day, is complete with original font and is still in remarkable pristine condition. Maker most likely was: "Russell & Watson, Buffalo, N Y". BRASS LIGHT HOUSE LAMPVintage huge 31" brass light house lamp. Weighing an incredible 50 pounds, this beauty was made in the 1940's by an aircraft carrier's crew member for an admiral's present. The 11 1/2" brass base has several cast embellishments: Center front is a cast iron vintage sailing ship. To the left and right are cast iron scenes with 2 jumping dolphins. Resembling the Eiffel Tower base, the brass base rises up 11", narrowing to a platform housing the lighthouse section with hinged door and windows. The top section, which sports the light, has a unique light weight cover installed over the light bulb, which turns by means of rising heat, giving the appearance of a working lighthouse. This vintage brass buoy light is 21.25" high, 12.5" wide at its base. Weighs 37 pounds. The brass I.D. tag reads: "Type LB 87-150. Serial No: SW0584." The Fresnel lens is in good condition, with some chips in the glass but no breaks. Inside the Fresnel lens a yellow caution light is suspended from clips. The top of the brass body is painted red with gold letters: I.D.: SW 594. This beauty burned acetylene gas in its active buoy light days between WW I and WW II. |
