#0047 Bronze Lantaka Cannon

BRONZE "LANTAKA" CANNON

300 year old bronze "Lantaka" cannon, used undoubtedly for defense of fortifications and/or on board ship with a swivel yoke mounting. Notice the crest in front of the touch hole. Bore is 1.75". In the rear is a provision for inserting an aiming rod. The gun is resting on a 3 wheel dolley on each end for easier movement. Widest part of the barrel is 6.5" in diameter. Weight unknown, but heavy. Great collectors item.

Total length is 25", iincluding the 23.5" barrel, which is mounted on a 12.5" wide carriage. Wheels are 4.5". Height is 16". In excellent condition. Sold only as a pair.
