#0047 Bronze Lantaka Cannon

BRONZE "LANTAKA" CANNON

300 year old bronze "Lantaka" cannon, used undoubtedly for defense of fortifications and/or on board ship with a swivel yoke mounting. Notice the crest in front of the touch hole. Bore is 1.75". In the rear is a provision for inserting an aiming rod. The gun is resting on a 3 wheel dolley on each end for easier movement. Widest part of the barrel is 6.5" in diameter. Weight unknown, but heavy. Great collectors item.

"COSTON" LIFE SAVING GUN

Early 20th century USN Lyle gun marked: "Coston Signal Co Cannon N.Y USA" Gun is 40" long, barrel is 30 1/2" with 2 1/2" bore. Carriage is 13 1/2" high, length 29 1/2", 11" wide. Has 7 elevation settings. A projectile is available with purchase of gun for an additional $95.00.
