TIN LITHO OF 1924 ERA PASSENGER LINER "BERENGARIA"
During the early 1900s, hundreds of thousands of poor immigrants, Irish, Italians, and others, booked steerage passage on the luxury liners of that time and came to America looking for a new future. These tin litho advertisements were found in the booking offices. Sadly, not many have survived. Some were used to plug holes in the ceilings or walls, or to create a roof. The size of this tin litho beauty of the Berengaria is signed in the right hand corner by the artist, A J (anchor) Bishop - 1924. Measures 40" x 29". Rarely offered and fairly priced.
